You have probably all heard of the children's play area located in our store and called Småland. Maybe your kids are among Småland fans? However, this is certainly not the only reason to come to IKEA with your kids. We have way more surprises for the little ones: from birthday gifts and special corners in the store to inspiring contests, where you can win a guided tour.

Contest for grades 1–6. Win a tour in the IKEA store!

As in life, mess tends to creep into every room. That's only human and gives you the opportunity to get creative and find more and more ways to organise your space. And why not use solutions that are not only practical, but also attractive? Take part in the "Let's organise in style!" competition for pupils in grades 1-6, let your imagination run wild and show us how to get rid of clutter in a creative and stylish way.

By 31 January, make an up to 1 minute long video with your classmates and submit it with the entry form, showing or telling us how to organise your home, classroom, office or other spaces that tend to get messy in a stylish and orderly way. Five most original and inspiring stories – five classes and their teachers will be awarded with an opportunity to visit IKEA in an educational tour. The tour is like a demo-trip to Sweden: students will get to know interesting facts about Sweden, its nature, language and traditions. We have prepared some exciting activities to make this tour a genuine adventure. Winners will have an opportunity to take tours on one of these dates in 2025: 20 February, 20 March, 10 April, 24 April, 15 May. Results will be announced by 10 February.

Waiting for parents to shop around or discuss all the details of their future kitchen plan or shelving systems at the store can be tedious. This is why we have set up some waiting areas for kids in the most visited planning spaces. There are drawing tools, but the main attraction here is the fact that one can draw on the walls without even asking! Got bored while waiting in the queue yourself? Grab a pen and amuse with your kids – there is no age limit for colours and fun.

You will find the walls for colouring in the kitchen planning and BESTÅ planning areas, self-serve zone and Exchange and Return zone, as well as Restaurant.
